11th Feb 2021 - Session 0 + 1 - The adventure begins - Ciara

Our adventure begins with the team leaving Waterdeep and heading to Nightstone. As they turn off the main road to the village, they introduce themselves.

Kin is a mysterious Wood Elf from Mulhorand. He is a swift and skilled rogue but has a strong sense of honour. He came to the Savage Wilds a long time ago and has spent more time here than he has in his homeland. He has worked for the Emerald Enclave for many years and his faction thought helping Lady Velrosa Nandar, a Waterdhavian noble and the High Steward of Nightstone, would be in their best interest. They summoned him, sending a letter by eagle, to defend Nightstone from Goblin attackers.

Dunbarr Hornbelly was born on a farm in the townland of Triboar. He is a great dwarven warrior even if he is small in stature.  He has long braided black hair and a big beard.  His well maintained chainmail shirt covers a big stout belly and with him he carries an axe he seems oddly affectionate about.  He is travelling with Bearnabus as representatives from the Harpers.

Bearnabus Moonstar is a skilled druid and horned tiefling who learned his craft in the land around Waterdeep. Part of the nobel Moonstar family, he decided to forge his own path from an early age.  He had expected the group to recognise his family name and was a little disappointed when they didn't.  He is working with Dunbarr.

Dipple O'Matta has travelled far from his homeland of Evermeet to work as their emissary. He uses his charming personality and a great deal of draconic sorcery to build bridges with the people of the Sword Coast. He heard that the Lady Velrosa Nandar is looking for a mediator to help improve the situation between the people of Nightstone and the elves of the Ardeep Forest with whom there is an ongoing conflict.

Graupel is a barbarian from the Uthgardt tribe of the Great Worm. She has decided to leave her tribal life behind.  A family member has recommended Gala for work defending the town of Nightstone from some Goblin terrorists. The contract was with Lady Velrosa Nandar.  She is covered in clothing from head to toe.  

As the team approach the town they can hear a bell tolling relentlessly and find the drawbridge down and the town unprotected.  Cautiously they approach the town.  From a distance they can see worgs in the town square which they immediately try to avoid by ducking behind the temple.  Sneaking inside they find an empty hall for worship and two goblins named Beedo and Vark playing with the bell in the back room.  Graupel attempted to befriend the goblins while Dunbarr hid ready to pounce.  With the offer of food, Graupel managed to get the goblins to leave the temple peacefully giving the group a chance to raid the temple for a holy symbol of Mielikki (shaped like a unicorn head), incense, some vials and some coins from the poor box.  

Unfortunately while searching around they start to hear the sounds of the Worgs attempting to break into the building.  First they considered a trap but in the end they decided to leave the temple through the opposite door and attack the worgs and goblins from a distance.  It turns out they were betrayed by the goblins.  In a mighty battle the group defeat their enemies using everything at their disposal.
