28th Feb 2021 - Session 3 - Into the Keep - Brian

We rejoin our intrepid heroes after a devastating cliff-hanger. Dipple insights the crap out of the lady in the inn. We discover her name is Kella, she's a monk but is very well dressed and not as one might expect a monk. Suspicions are at an all time high. Kella is from Clondaptin (name may or may not be correct).

Kin and Dunbarr loot the crap out of a sweet chest and divvy up the loot. Bearnabus, having released a snake from a box she has found, decides maybe releasing a flying snake in a small room might not have been the best plan. After an intense wrestling session, the snake is back in the box. Turns out the snake belongs to Kella and she wants it back. After a clever bit of sleight of hand Bearnabus hid the snake in the tinder box from Kella.

The group tried to sneak the keep but Dunbarr was loud as all bedamned. He blamed the 25 foot ladder he was carrying but the group all give scathing looks none the less. The ladder attracts the attention of two lazily named goblins. (also did they introduce themselves before attacking? how do we know it's lazy, that could be a bit racist, Dipple feels ashamed for his opinions) The goblins die almost instantly.

Dipple and Bearnabus scout a house where two old people are mushed. they ignore an obviously hidden goblin and take a winged cat with them. They name the cat Pritstick. The group does not notice their absence but notices their return. They cross the bridge and pull the ladder behind them. The party splits into stealth and diplomacy. the keep is wrecked and destroyed by the large rocks.

We meet the guards who tell us the Lady Nandoor is dead. Bearnabus checks and confirms that she is, in fact, very dead. The guards point out that their colleague is in a highly improbable and unfortunate situation. He's found himself involve in a literal game of the floor is lava. Dunbarr and Graupel head up to the roof to turn off the tar flow. The rest of the party build a cushion path with rocks to rescue the guard.

The guards explain that the damage was done by a floating castle in a cloud with giants on it. The giants wrecked the place and stole the night stone. They think the villagers are likely hiding in the caves.

The party level up and are receiving gifts for saving the town. (gifts still pending)

Side note, the Nandoor flag is kinda bitchin'.
