31st January 2023 - Session 57 - Meeting Saoirse - Eoin

The party begins the day ready for adventure. They decide to activate the conch and see where it leads. It feels like they lose conchessness as they are teleported to king hackathons palace deep underwater near the Monshae Isles. They find themselves in what appears to be an entrance cave with several doors leading off it.

Bearnabus casts underwater breathing on the party and readies her water-based magic. Dunbarr and Graupel tie each other together with a rope.  Dunbarr heads down into a water entrance and travels out to the sand. From here he can see an underwater gladiator pit filled with smashed ships and a big plug hole.  Along the walls leading out are entrances blocked by metal gates.

Dipple heads backwards out of what looks like the tunnel for medium-sized folk. Outside he gets a face full of hot steam as a geyser erupts. Dipple decides to head back to the party.

Kin stealths into a door on the left and the party follows. They find a hallway with a stone statue at the end. To the side are rooms with beds and supplies. It seems to be a guard-quarters for medium folk. They backtrack, head to the door on the right, and find guard quarters for giant folk. They decide to head back to the main room and investigate the spiral staircase leading up.

They hear noises from people celebrating above. Dipple casts seaming to make everyone look dapper and we head up to make some introductions. The room at the top of the staircase looks like an elegant ballroom where everything is made from the sea. Large shells serve as tables and music is being played in the corner. One of the musicians seems to be playing a crab like an organ. Large crystal windows look out into the ocean depths.

As Dipple announces our entrance we gain the interest of the giant royalty. The fire giant seems hesitant. The frost giant is admiring the axe Grapuel is showing off. Dunbarr tells the story of the oracle and the heroic Harshnag to an intrigued stone giant. The cloud giant loves the princess ring Bearnabuus is showing off.

The party is led to meet Acting Queen Soairse. As we enter, Mirin and Nim are telling the queen that we are assassins. The queen sends everyone else out of the room to speak with us directly. She is worried about the state of the giants. Her two advisors, Uthur and Imrith, have been talking about strife in the kingdom. The blame seems to be falling on us. We tell her of the oracle and Harshnag. We tell of an angry blue ancient dragon similar to the skulls that adorn her throne.

She says she cannot trust us and we believe that she is being lied to by Imrith. We tell her of mind control creatures such as Aboleths and Krakens.
