The Storm King's Thunder (Dublin, Ireland)

The team arrives at Raven Rock at 4am. Graupel knows there are two tribes living here, a wolf one and a raven one. They're probably not mates. It's not as cold here and Dipple puts on his pendant. Dunbar and Bearnabus check out the altar and the other 3 go to the Raven Rock. There are magical auras on the ground and altar. Suddenly there are wolves. Fighting ensues and Wolfnabus appears. There is much grumpiness. Suicide fireball kills one werewolf. Dunbar knocks out a wolf and Dipple uses every shape of fire to kill another wolf. Graupel dismantles a wolf while Dunbar kills another and Dipple burns the last one to death.  Sun comes up and the unconscious wolf turns into a barbarian. Arak the barbarian doesn't want us to desecrate the altar. There's much debate on how the were-ing affects a druid in wild shape Dunbar kills Arak, topples the altar with Graupel, and they both dig through rock looking for an artefact. The party started to move into the town to join the festival in honour of the tribe's new leader.  Graupel, who fears public speaking, is requested to do a speech. She moves to the top of the room, and a wave of anxiety swells inside. She bottles the speech and instead chooses to smash her glass against the ground in the hopes it will appear leaderlike to the barbarian tribe. Dunbarr, a true ride or die, follows suit and smashes his glass in support.  Kin re-enters the tent having been outside on a reconnaissance trip. Dipple seizes this event for himself and leaves the tent unnoticed, heading towards the gong’s position.  Dunbarr and Bearnabus take part in the festival, they focus their efforts on appearing inconspicuous by drinking heavily with the rest of the tribe.  Bearnabus secretly swaps out Dunbarr’s alcohol for a local caffeinated beverage.  Bearnabus and Dunbarr convince the village shaman to get drunk alongside them.  Cut to later that evening, t...

The party start the adventure with a little nap and recover some health.  Instead of napping, Dipple questions Harshnag on his clothes and how he sources material, along with the fine details of giant babies.  Harshnag becomes confused and uncomfortable.   Once awake, the party leave the Eye of the All-Father.  While travelling out of the entrance hall, a hawk flies in and drops a note in front of Kin.  Kin reads it and then shares it with the group: Kin, We have investigated the Aboleth mucous that you sent to our lab.  We had to transfer it to our most powerful wizard in Neverwinter to get answers.  He almost went crazy and now fears one of the ancient monsters of the past is back and is somehow involved with the downfall of the giants.  He became paranoid that the tendrils of this monster were everywhere.  Please find and send further information to our operatives.  You will be paid 300GP if you can find the location of this crea...

The party is inside the room of the frost giant axe after having slain a Ramorez. Dunbarr drinks a celebratory mug of giants wine which surprisingly doesn't kill him. The party finds a riddle carved into the wall. It reads: Oracle wisdom lies within Pass the clouds to get in But only in the arms of kin And only by the arms of kin Contemplating this, we rest on the slabs near the fire for the night. On Kin's watch, something crucially important occurs. He sees 10 insects head into a grate under the fire. A mystery we have yet to uncover. The party wakes up bright and early, says the narrator, but we don't know when it actually is. We take the frost giant Thrym's axe from the room and place it into the statue back in the main chamber. Nothing seems to happen. Graupel heads towards the glyphs in the chamber and presses the cloud glyph. Gravity reverses and everyone begins falling towards the ceiling taking fall damage. The gravity reverses again a minute later and everyone...

 Dunbarr tries to find a way out of the stone giant corridor he's been trapped in. He uses stone cunning against the boulder and status, the statue is a Stone Golem with transmutation magic. It is too far away for Bearnabus to cast dispel magic. Heavy barriers, that Dunbarr cannot lift, line the corridor. Dipple checks another corridor and finds a life-size statue of an angry cloud giant with a mask on appearing to cast a spell. He doesn't enter but figures there must be rooms for each type of giant. In the central room with all types of giants, the Ice Giant is missing its axe. Dipple finds a room across from the stone giant corridor which has the doors frozen shut. Kin joins him. The stone giant statue gets close enough to Dunbarr for him to use a dispel magic scroll on it, it works and the stone giant stops moving. Harshnag lifts the boulder and Dunbarr gets out of the corridor. Dunbarr tries putting an ice sconce in the hand of the ice giant statue, but nothing happens. ...

 Graupel is cursed with bestow curse.  Turns out the dragon is a wyrmling. The battle continues with Kin firing off arrows, kicking ass. Dunbarr in the heat of battle swinging his axe taking combatants out left, right and centre with Bearnabus in their elk form helping out with a few rams and hoof attacks. A couple of traps set by shamans went off, which was more of an annoyance than a hindrance.  The wyrmling slowly creeps away from the battle.  Dipple the ape and Harshnag are destroying all around them.  Graupel and Wormblood are facing off. Wormblood is getting a few hits in but he isn’t exactly posing much of an issue. Dunbarr – “Kablamo Shamano!” Misty steps behind the shaman to attack. The shaman are all taken out and the curse on Graupel is lifted but this was unexpected as usually the curses still stick around.  The battle rages on with the team doing massive damage to the enemy combatants.  The party enters the tunnel and despite his enormous size, Harshnag is almost completely invisible with his amazing sneaking. Large blocks are suspended from the roof. Ultimately these turned out to be nothing but the party was worried about a trap. Dipple pulls a panther out of his pocket and throws it down the corridor to check for traps. The blocks didn't fall but someone down the corridor sounded put out by a panther suddenly being there. The party follows down the corridor towards the noises to find about 10 people very pissed. Included in the people was Wormblood, the old leader of Grauple’s tribe. He is adorned with a rather fabulous feather boa. Grauple urges peace with Wormblood but it is in vain. There was much fighting. A Wyrmling arrives to join the fight being commanded by Wormblood. The mages start casting lightning bolts like they are going out of fashion and there is more fighting all over the gaff. Suddenly there is a giant ape who rips the control collar off ...
