The Storm King's Thunder (Dublin, Ireland)

The scene opens with the last remaining orogs and magmins fighting for their lives. Bearnabus decides to start into some triage and magically cures Dunbarrs wounds.  Kin hits home with an arrow from his short bow to kill the last of the orog.   While this is going on, Othovir casts a witch's bolt on one of the Magmins still on the field.  This proves to be a lot more effective than attacking the magmin with normal weapons.  All the magmin's fire fizzles out dies. Dipple starts working on the unconscious magmins and freezes the first to death.  Narth follows suit and shoots an arrow to awaken a magmin.  Bearnabus decides it's time to take out all the enemies near him and casts Thunderwave, smashing and exploding the two Magmin's near him.  Unfortunately, the explosions also hurt Urgala and Graupel but it's worth it.  The last of the Magmins are mopped up by Kin, Dipple and Narth.   The adventurers have saved the town! Open: Everyone levelled up from being awesome Dipple takes a mid-battle nap in which he can do frosty cantrips. There is a group attacking from the bottom of the map and from the right-hand side. Bearnabus uses a healer kit to heal Graupel.  Kin attacks the one remaining awake & alive magmin and nearly kills it. Othovir misses. The magmins maul with their flame fingers in response. They scrab at the air and miss, they start to glow a little brighter.  Two orogs (orcs on steroids) surround Darz and each of them do two attacks on him! All four attacks hit and Darz is knocked unconscious. Another orog attacks Darathra but he misses.  Two more orogs attack Dunbarr, they hit and he takes significant damage but ‘tis but a scratch! The axebeaks follow the fire giants leaving.  Dipple casts ray of frost on a magmin who explodes as it dies in a burst of fire and magma. Othovir does a dexterity saving throw and takes 4 damage. Narth crossbow shoots a magmin.  Graupel ...

The giants have been digging away for 30 seconds and have been making phenomenal progress. Bearnabus as a wolf runs right up to one of the fire giants and tries to bite the shovel away from them. Unfortunately, the wolf jaws can’t make enough purchase to rip the shovel away from the fire giant.  Kin, seeing this, let's loose an arrow at the same fire giant hitting it but the fire giant doesn’t seem to have noticed getting hit with an arrow.  Othovir goes to cast a fireball also at the same fire giant but it peters out before it even hits him.  The fire giant, noticing all these shenanigans, turns around to Graupel and lifts his sword up which is bigger than her and brings it down, slashing her from top to toe. Graupel collapses from the immense damage. It looks like she is knocked out and in grave danger from her injuries. The second fire giant shouts out “Get these small folk away from us! Leave us be! Giant matters are of no concern to you.” He then proceeds to attack B...

It's evening time.  The party splits up to sleep. Bearnabus, Dipple and Dunbarr go to the fancy inn.  Kin and Grauple stay at the cheaper inn with an agreement to meet at the Lord Protector's gaff. Suddenly nothing happens but then some screaming people yell about giants.   Them sky giants again *shakes fist at sky*. There's damage, it was pointed at, I was too zoomed in to see. Two groups were attacking from different directions.  Dunbarr makes a racist comment about elf eyes based on stereotypes.  Giants are travelling in from the long road, a larger group of smaller people are arriving by the Evermore road The party heads down to the long road to meet that army.  The road has 2 fire giants and 4 orcs on axebeaks.  The beautiful ballet of death will take place on the campground.  The giants have shovels and are here to fuck shit up. Bearnabus grows some spikes while yelling "let's get horticultural up in this bizzitch".  Kin looks for ...

We return to the game in Darthra’s dwelling. Darthra is the Lord Protector of the town. She tells the party they can return to her tomorrow for jobs if they’d like. Bearnabus decides to wait until tomorrow to talk to the nobles in the fancy inn.  The party sleeps. In the morning the party heads to breakfast with Urgala.  Urgala enquires about how the party slept the night before. Kin subtly drops a hint that he is an elf and therefore above the simple activity of sleeping.  They swap adventuring tales with Urgala and she talks about how her wife went missing many years ago in the Underdark. The Underdark is a dark realm, many warriors have entered and never returned, presumed dead.  Urgala asks the party about their own adventures and the party swaps information by telling Urgala about the giant cloud wizard that transported them to this town. Urgala finds this story most interesting as she hasn’t heard of any giants around these parts for years.  Urgala tells t...
